Chardon Now ("the App") is an unofficial, independently developed iOS and Android application created to help residents of Chardon, Ohio stay informed about community events, city news, and city updates. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the City of Chardon or any government entity.
Chardon Now does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
The Chardon Holiday Passport lets you collect stamps by checking in at participating restaurants and events. To make sure you're really there, the App checks your device's location only at the moment you tap check-in.
Participating in the Holiday Passport is optional, and no purchase is necessary.
App settings and display preferences are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. It can be cleared at any time by deleting the app.
The App displays content from publicly available sources, including the City of Chardon website, news posts and calendar, and the other sources named in the App under Connect → Sources. When you tap an item, you may be directed to the original source's website in your browser, where that source's own privacy policy applies.
